This is my first attempt at blogging. I've become interested in the process to facilitate communication among teachers in the Orleans/Niagara BOCES districts.
I'd like this blog to encourage teachers to discuss different ways that they are using technology in their classrooms. We would all like to learn about various hardware and software being used and how it is actually applied in classroom instruction. Any information would be of great value.
Please feel free to speak freely and provide any insights or tips you find to be of significance.

One of the latest technologies that we've been developing at BOCES is the use of online tutorials. To create these tutorials we use software called Camtasia Studio. With this program you can capture screen images and audio to provide video type lessons on using various software. Once these 'videos' are created, they are placed on our network server so that they can be accessed by all teachers at any time. It has really proved to be beneficial to all.
